I found this in my psych text, under the lovely chapter of consciousness: sleep, dreams, hypnosis and drugs.

According to Fahey (1993), you may be sleep deprived if you :
- actually need your alarm clock to wake up.
- find getting out of bed in the morning a struggle.
- feel tired, irritable, or stressed out for much of the day.
- have trouble concentrating or remembering.
- fall alseep watching TV, in meetings, lectures or warm rooms.
- fall alseep after heavy meals or after a low dose of alcohol.
- fall alseep within 5 minutes of getting into bed. ( A well-rested person actually takes 15 to 20 minutes to fall asleep.)

OMG I AM SERIOUSLY DEPRIVED OF SLEEP.

my mum forced me to go online to see if my brother is. little does she realise that once i'm online, i'd be glued to the computer for quite some time.

I can't believe how some girls i know can be so impossibly sweet and positive and sooo un-bitchy and incredibly cute and happy all the time! How do they survive?! It's like there is a burst of sunshine everytime they appear and ohmigosh, when they smile, it's like you're in heaven already because there is no sadness anywhere!

how do you live a live with no bitching?! haha and wake up everyday super high? and remain so the entire day?
wow. i'm just...amused.

now let's talk DP.
we all thought it was going to suck at the very beginning. even 2 days away from the performance, we thought it was all going to be a flop.
but noo, everything turned out nicely, really.
the actors were like, super.
dance choreo, super. (dancers and blocking had quite a few mistakes tho)
script ended up super. (once you got it) its SO DEEEEP i tell you.
lights were screwed, no surprise.

BUT still, i think it all came together great.
i'm proud of my friends!
christina - you can dance one loh, don't be silly.
wanyu, juls - WOW!!
Yijun - well done on the choreo and the dancing! especially betty's!
vanessa, alina - very powderful for first timers!
putra - quit school and go audition for broadway NOW.

And he won't be there, because he's overseas.

here are my further thoughts on life that I came up with recently:

Life is...a mystery.
it doesn't give you the things you expect to get, and throws you all sorts of other things (good and bad) that you've never expected to happen.
God, whoever he is, must be having so much fun messing with our lives.
What do we do then, you may ask?
Expect nothing (that's the best I could come up with lah).

Life is...about discovering yourself.
I grew up in a family which teaches that showing emotion is a sign of weakness.
When you're sad, you can't just cry.
You have to be strong, keep it cool.
But really, isn't being able to cry in front of people truly courageous?
To cry in front of the person who has hurt you is like showing him/her your bleeding heart, allowing them to do what they please with it Make it worse by stepping on it? Or will they mend it?
You wouldn't be able to guess. You can only hope it's the latter.
sigh sigh this is so confusing.
And still I will never cry in front of you, because that's just the way I was brought up.

Life is...full of jinxes.
This is annoying.
It ties in with what I'm talking about in the first part.
You expect something. You think you're getting it.
You JINX it (by being overconfident/ telling someone about a crush, etc etc).
And you're never getting it.
So shut up.

Life is...about acheiving self-actualisation.
