positively somewhere

The weather is devastatingly beautiful today. The sun was out, but not in a trying-to-bake-us kind of way. The soft lazy summer breeze was just perfect and the sky the lightest blue, dotted with a couple of clouds. The trees in a distance sway with the promise of the sea just beyond it ( we DO live near the sea). You hear the occasional ship calling you away to sail the oceans( of course you know it's a cargo ship but you can always pretend).

le sigh.

I wish I was laying outside with a good book in hand. And you beside me. We will smile and time will not matter. The rest of the world will not matter.

... ... ...
And ladies and gentlemen, THIS is how examinations screw with your brains.

Instant Coffee and Everything else.

Ok so, it is the time of the semester where all other aspects of our lives WILL break down. sleeping patterns will go awry ( or maybe, you'd even forget what 'sleep' is), our diet will comprise of coffee and crap (maggie mee industry will flourish) with the occasional fongseng or the deck. But mainly coffee. Laundry will only be done for the sake of fresh underwear, and your friends will start talking funny or acting funny. Please please tolerate them. They need us. And around this time the list of 'what i want to do after the exams' will start growing. so write them down (or you'd think about them all day) but make sure it remains shoved deep inside your drawer.

So yeah, it's one more trip to Sengshiong to get all the food(but mainly coffee) supplies I need and it's time for confinement. goodbye world. goodbye. ( I hope. because internet is the devil.) Drop an sms or call once in a while to check if I am alive.

Study hard and good luck for your papers! Ciao.

I'm le tired!

so, i just had this 3hr history war and technology debate/presentation thing for my project and all I can remember from it is the guys talking about B29s, B17s, and the V1, V2, M110, the pathers, the enigma, the ultra, the FHDH, JS-3, MG42, DUKH, F17, the ABC1, DEF2, whatever.

MY GOD. And I'm watching my toenails turn blue. It was cold.

stupid boys and their toys. (erm, those are just same names for the weapons/aircraft/tanks used in WWII by the way) What can I add to this man! You should have seen me, nodding my head and smiling like I agree/understand what the hell they were talking about but really I was thinking about dinner ( which, by the way, I haven't eaten yet).

Anyway stats test was arghh. ya, thats the best word I can come up with. haha but the studying part last night and this morning was quite funny, those 20-30min gossiping breaks. hur. so it wasnt half-bad.

and yea, we can totally start a daytime (except that most of the events take place at night) soap opera titled 'Eusoff' which will run for a thousand episodes and it will have such high viewership that they move it to a primetime slot at 10pm. And then we'd have spin-offs, animated series, and own merchandising. like dolls. sounds like a good business plan. (as long as we dont cast ming. hah.)

it just occurred to me that I have a free day tmr! maybe I should go home. one of my favorite activities when the weekend comes is to go home early when my parents don't expect me to and late when my parents expect me early.

and all family guy fans should watch this!(stole it from my brother)

I love it too that some actors have gone to join the strikes. and yay go stewie!

Funny!

Don't know how backdated I am, but I bet there are still people out there who haven't watched this.

I laughed a whole 5 minutes after the video ended.

It kills me when my friends whom I think deserves all the best things in the world gets trampled on by people who obviously don't.

But that's how the world works.

Caught Lions for Lambs with Michelle today. Didn't think any girl who is not a history major would be interested to watch something like this (besides me of course, I'm such a history geek. Plus, I tend to end up watching very male shows like Master and Commander which I thought was kinda brilliant but just that it wasn't very entertaining). But anyways, I thought it was pretty good. It's basically about decisions on war affecting different groups of people (leaders, media and commonfolk) and how they're all interlinked but then again they are not. And the different views on war and the reasons behind why they're involved.

Studying so much military history made me forget about the many personal tragedies involved. To us, it was just all a statistic. A leader makes the wrong strategic move, and hundreds of thousands left dead. Nobody cares who. oh oops, then the leaders try another wave of attacks or a new strategy. The war goes on.

The whole term came from a quote, something about what the German soldiers said bout the British soldiers they encountered during WWI: 'Such lions led by such lambs'. which is sadly true in most of the time. lives sacrificed for stupidity. mistakes.

Which brings me to what an ass Hitler was. This was what he said when the Allies and the Soviets were at Germany's doorstep; "the Germans had not proved themselves worthy of being he master race by losing this war, so they all deserve to go to hell with me." what the #$%&^*!!

And nobody really learns from history. Nobody.

**********

We then went to watch The Great Spy Experiment at radio pulse. they're pretty good. and we kinda got conned into buying their album (we're such girls) which isnt thatt bad so it's still fine. It's just that I cant remember the last time I bought an album before today. hmmmmm. My resolution shall be to go for more band showcases from now on. but sometimes I'm so ulu that I need people to bring me to such performances!! And did I mention that I truly wanna sing in one? sighh. it's just that I dare not sing alone in front of an audience. why else would I be in a choir right.

*********

on another note, DP bash was absolutely boring. well, except for the almost free porn on the podium. which wasn't very appetizing anyway. The girl looks like a bloody tranny. Speaking of unappetizing porn, the video yijun showed us was the ultimate gross man! urgh. I almost puked on the spot, but we held our ground. yays to us. i just wished she hadn't shown me when i was about to eat my noodles maybe. anyone interested can go ask her for the link man. But you have been warned! it involves shit. I'm not kidding. the only people who should watch this are people who desperately want to lose weight fast. you know, i can usually stand disturbing clips like this but its the residual images that keeps popping in my head for the next days/weeks that is unbearable. Like this video of a lady ghost caught on tape. when I saw it on tv i didn't really have a reaction (maybe also because I just woke up) but now I can't sleep. great, just great. bleah :(

hey fad remember we were just talking about disney princesses and wondering why the hell snow white turned out to be so ugly (comparatively)? i think Rachel Weisz managed to save Snow White's reputation.

and Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella! Wasn't exactly the face I was expecting for Cinderella, but guess she's pretty enough.

Love, Sex, Lies, Deceit, Heartbreak.
Your life should be made into a movie.
